Start with free test coins. No real money needed.
XCH Raffle currently runs on Chia Testnet11. Tickets cost TXCH and use txch1 addresses. TXCH is free test currency with no real monetary value; mainnet XCH bought with real money cannot enter these tables.

Four steps
From no wallet to your first table.
The setup stays entirely on Testnet11: install a desktop wallet, select the test network, receive free TXCH and return to the raffle.
Switch Sage to Testnet11
Select Testnet11 in Sage, then copy your Receive Address. It must begin with txch1. If it begins with xch1, you are on mainnet and cannot buy a ticket for these tables.
Request free TXCH
Paste your Receive Address into the official Chia Testnet11 faucet. If it is empty or does not respond, use the community-run Testnet11 faucet. The community faucet has no affiliation with Chia Network, Inc. Both faucets issue test coins; allow several minutes for them to appear in Sage.
Return to the tables
Once Sage shows your TXCH balance, open the Tables page, connect Sage and choose a table. The ticket address and all amounts will be shown before you approve the transaction.
Future mainnet
Real XCH is for mainnet — not today.
Buying XCH will only be necessary when XCH Raffle moves to mainnet. Mainnet XCH cannot be used on the current Testnet11 tables, so you do not need to spend money to start today.
